The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), India’s aviation safety regulator, has partnered with TCS to reimagine its operations. TCS has built a comprehensive digital portal, eGCA, that has helped the central aviation authority get rid of manual, cumbersome, paper-driven processes involved in servicing the nation’s vast network of pilots, aircraft maintenance personnel, airports administration, and air traffic control.

The move from legacy to digital has led to DGCA streamlining all its regulatory services to become a leaner, tighter, and more efficient government enterprise.

Here are a series of news reports on the development, and the larger push toward e-governance and a digital-led India.
