Milind Lakkad is the Executive Vice President and CHRO in TCS since May 2019. Prior to taking this role, he was the Global head of Manufacturing Business Group since 2008. He has been a part of the TCS management team for the last 15 years.

As CHRO, Milind is focussed on further strengthening the high-performance culture of TCS, and is passionate about building a purpose driven, learning organization that transcends geographical barriers, and embraces practices that enable the future of work. The wellbeing of the diverse 600K+ workforce is at the centre of the people strategy that focuses on learning, employee experience, social and work collaboration.  He strongly believes in the motto that a happy workplace is where every employee is encouraged to follow their passion, invest in lifelong learning, thrive together, and stay hungry.

In his previous role as head of Manufacturing Business Group, Milind was responsible for serving global customers in the areas of Automotive, Industrial Equipment & Machinery, Aerospace and Process Manufacturing. During this period, the business group enhanced its positioning across the manufacturing value chain and further strengthened its leadership position in Product Development, Supply Chain, Customer Experience and Analytics.

Under his guidance and leadership TCS Manufacturing grew sixfold with benchmark profitability in eleven years. 

Thanks to his efforts, the company is also piloting the new 25/25 hybrid work model—under which only 25% of the employees will need to operate from the offices at any given point by 2025. With this, the employees will not need to spend more than 25% of their time at the workplace.
